If the widespread shift to remote work has taught us one thing, it is this: our impact is not equal to the hours we spend in the office or with clients. This means we need to let go of the old, office focused-approach and embrace flexible working.
It is Macaw’s ambition to
“empower people to thrive personally and professionally through ultimate flexibility”.
Trust
Our culture of trust is a great fundament of our company. It is not about the hours we spend in the office or with clients. It is about productivity, responsibility and using time effectively to achieve results and be successful. Employees value being given responsibility in their work and working in a environment that is results-driven instead of presence-driven. By taking this people centric approach and investing in the well-being of our colleagues, we make Macaw a better place to work. All this is based on the belief that if we take care of you, you will take of our customers. Making them more successful, and with that ourselves and Macaw as whole.
By adopting the Future of Work, Macaw wants to create the best of both worlds:
The choice to be able to work concentrated at a place of your own choice or to come to the office as a meeting place. To collaborate, for consultation or to hold a brainstorming session. Seeing each other face-to-face again, interacting, having fun and at the same time having the flexibility and autonomy to work wherever you want.’
What does this mean?
Ultimately, it means that we want to offer the flexibility to work “When, Where and How you want”. We will let you decide where you need to be – to do your best work – all in balance with your professional and personal responsibilities. Under our new policy, there are no standard daily workplaces for employees at headquarter locations. Our employees, in alignment with their peers, are responsible enough to find the right balance. For themselves, their colleagues, customers and for Macaw as an employer.
And there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution. We are all different and have different preferences and needs. Macaw wants to take all this into account and work with our colleagues to shape the Future of Work. One thing is certain: things will never be the way they used to be.
